What is a Ballad???

A ballad is a type of song which follows or tells you a story.

Ballads were mostlyused in the Middle Ages by troubadors,

who were people that went around towns telling news. Because

it was hard to remember the news in your head the troubadors

would make them into songs for them to remember it

in an easer way. Once the troubador would come

to the town he would sing the ballad to inform  the village

he went to the information he got from the village he came from

(sometimes there were special messagers that worked for the king).

Introduction - Hi, welcome to my page, now that you know what a

ballad is, I'll show you the modern ballad (not from Middle ages) that

I chose. The modern ballad that I chose is called 'Yestarday' which is not

that modern, it was written by the Beatles in the 60's.

Summary - This is is a ballad because it does have kind of a story

behind it. The story is about this man and his girlfriend, Yestarday

his girlfriend ran away from him. And the man in the song practicly

 tells his feelings like for example"Yesterday, all my troubles seemed

so far away Now it looks as though they're here to stay"

which practicly means how he's feeling - Yestarday everything just

looked fine, and today all the troubles seem not to go away.

In the part where he says "Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say. here it shows how

I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday."

he thinks about her and why she ran away.
