Summary of my ballad:
This ballad is about a girl named Marianeth Amper who is eleven years old. She hanged herself on Thursday November 8, 2007 at 4:01 p.m. Her father suspect that she did that because of their situation. She wrote a note that was placed in her room. The note revealed why she hanged herself.
Here's my ballad:
"Life is unfair"
Verse 1:
Mariannet was a girl aged eleven,
She hanged herself because it was uneven,
Having so much on her shoulders to carry
And can't even study because of poverty.
Chorus:
Why life is so unfair,
To those who can't even complain,
Where did the money go?
Oh! To the governor's pocket, I know.
Verse 2:
Before she died she wrote a note saying,
"I just wanted a bycicle"
So she doesn't need to walk all through the road.
She also said that she coudn't so to school
Because she always lacked money for food.
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 3:
The night before she killed herself,
She asked her father for 100 pesos
But he didn't have any money
Because he's been out of job for months
While her mother worked at a noodle factory,
Earning less than a dollar a day.
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 4:
Days passed after she died
The president spoke, her words are all lie
She said that the economy is rising
Releasing one billion pesos, to help poor people
But I can't see that the program is happening.
